Our Objectives

To create awareness on self development and self sustaining programme amongst the female students of remote areas within Nagaon, Hojai and Karbi Anglong district.

To eradicate illiteracy by providing education to illiterate women through adult education centers.

To educate the children who are deprived of schooling due to poor economic conditions through various State and Central Govt. sponsored welfare program.

To encourage dropout students in cultural artistic and creative activities.

To establish library, organize general literary discussion, seminars and to observe, national and international days and weeks.

To protect and conserve the historical heritage of the society on the foundation of Gandhian thoughts.

Establishment of vocational training centres in the trade of weaving, tailoring, cutting and knitting, food processing, jute,cane and bamboo products.etc and helping unemployment problem to the considerable extent.

To establish music and art training centre and to encourage the school going girls by different types of competitive programs on craft and culture and bring out the talent within them.

To encourage family planning, Immunization, Hygenity, Health,and contagious diseases. Awareness programme on TB, AIIDS etc.

Udeshna A Jagreeti Manch, an NGO, commenced its journey on 21 March 2014, with a vision to bring
positive change. The name “Udeshna” signifies a “newborn baby,” symbolizing the organization’s
commitment to nurturing and fostering growth. Our organization is registered under societies act XXII of 1860.
Our office is situated in Borpukhuri village, adjacent to NH in Bhalukmari Bazar area, just 6 KM away from Sankardevnagar,
the headquarter of Hojai district. The committee is run by Mrs. Purnima Devi(President), Bankim Chakraborty(Secretary),
Indarjit Das(Treasurer) and 4 other members. We have been working for Programs, Covid-19 Awareness Precautions,
women about their rights and responsibilities, program on Road safety among students, Free Beauty parlor training of
local girls, Cultural meet, social harassment domestic violence, the Health …………………………………………
