The first and foremost journey of Udeshna as a jagreeti manch initiates with a health awareness programme in a high school. Crowded by almost two hundred students and teachers of the school, the event was graced by the presence of Mrs. Shikha Ray (knowledgeable in herbal plants and products) who explained the significant uses of herbal plants like tulsi, neem, yashtimadhu etc. in our day to day lives for curing diseases. Strong responses from the students added life to the programme. Mrs. Ray threw light on the fact that nature itself contains the power to heal and cure ailments. All we need is to explore and discover the healing power of the greenery we are surrounded by.
