Women’s Rights and Duties
UDESHNA-A JAGREETI MANCH Date:-24/03/2018 Venue- Srimanta Sankardev Mahavidyalaya, Sankardevnagar. Udeshna steps forward to organize a one-day workshop on the topic “Women’s Rights and Duties” with the gracious presence of Mr. Nayan Singha (Vice President, Hojai district Bar Association), Mrs. Rupamoni Devi (Social worker from Ghy.) ,Miss Priyasmi Devi (Renowned orator and currently a student of J.B. Law college, Ghy.), Prof. Taibur Rahman (Alhaz Sonai B. B. collage), Charan Singh Chauhan (Principal, Srimanta Sankardev Mahavidyalaya), Mr. Bankim Chakraborty (Retd. Teacher, Bhalukmari H.S. School) along with a crowd of students and teachers of different colleges. The programme provided a broad platform for discussion and dissemination of information from the resource persons to the audience. Various issues relating to women’s right and duties were taken up and talked about. The event gathered a great response from the students, as they raised essential questions which formed the prime objective of the workshop.
WINTER COURSES ON BASIC COMPUTER TRAINING
UDESHNA A JAGREETI MANCH Date:-17/12/17 Venue:- Udeshna Office premises, Bhalukmari, Dist: Hojai, Assam WINTER COURSES ON BASIC COMPUTER TRAINING Udeshna, for the first the time organized basic computer training programme. Udeshna has also come forward with helping hands to the school students for learning new skills, also with the initiative to utilize the vacation of L.P and M.E school students in a creative manner. The summer course was inaugurated by Doner member S.Chakarborty. Pro. Suparna nath (Dept.of history) from lanka college, prasanta Bora computer training from lanka college, Rakesh Choubay social worker. They gave lactures on computer. With the appointment of three trainers, the trainees learnt about the basic application of computer. The closing ceremony was held on31st of December 2017.
Seminar on Woman Empowerment& Primary Education and Distribution of Sewing Machine to the needy woman
UDESHNA A JAGREETI MANCH Date-26/05/17 Venue- Markajul Ma’Arief, Hojai, Assam Seminar on Woman Empowerment& Primary Education Distribution of Sewing Machine to the needy woman Udeshna participated in a seminar on ‘Woman Empowe rment & Primary Education’ organized by M. Ma’Arief . A lecture on woman empowerment was delivered by Prof. S. Chakraborty. The organization donated 2 sewing machines to the secretary of Udeshna and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the member for being a part of the program.
EXHIBITION
UDESHNA A JAGREETI MANCH Date- 16/11/2017 Venue-Sankardevnagar Krishti Bikash Kendra EXHIBITION On the occasion of Dr. B. Hazorika’s 5th death anniversary, observed the day “Sankardevnagar Kristibikash Kendra Committee” where Udeshna actively participated in the programme by supplying momento, badges and file covers which were made by the art & crafts section of Udeshna.An exhibition cum sales counter was also set up on the occasion.
PARTICIPATION ON HOJAI SWACHH MELA
UDESHNA A JAGREETI MANCH Date-10/05/2017 Venue- Sankardevnagar ,Hojai, Assam. PARTICIPATION ON HOJAI SWACHH MELA Udeshna actively participated in “Hojai Swachh Mela” organised by PHE Dept. Govt of Hojai Assam where Shiladitya Dev(Member Assam Legislative Assembly),Sibu Misra(M.L.A Hojai District),Dr. Laksmanan S, IAS (Deputy Commissioner ,Hojai),Dr. Reeta Sarma ( Hojai FRU), Dr. Gargamohan Das( Circle Officer, Lanka Hojai Assam), gave lacttures on cleanliness and hygiene which is the need of the hour.The mela was a colourful and bright together of stalls of the hojai District .Amongst them Udeshna’s stall along with other few stalls were awarded for maintaining an organized and properly designed counter.
Annual Meet
UDESHNA A JAGREETI MANCH Date: 25/12/2017 VENUE:UDESHNA OFFICE,BHALUKMARI, DIST:HOJAI,ASSAM Annual Meet The fourth annual meeting of udeshna was organized with the get together of the general members , executive body members and distinguished invitees Prof. Bijay Laxmi Paul ( Dept of Bengali Lanka Mahavidyalaya), Prof. Ismile Ali ( Retired principal Lanka Mahavidyalaya), Mrs. Susmita Ghosh (Social worker),Prof. Rathindra Kumar Dey (Lumding Pranabananda collage) . The annual meet starts with a satsang prayer attended by more than 300 people . Mrs. Uma Debnath secretary of udeshna presented complete activities of the year. The future goals and resolution were discussed in the meeting and also was a discussion on woman empowerment. The programme wrapped up with the vote of thanks forwarded by Mrs. Swapna Rani Das(President of Udeshna).
